Quakers are a Religious group of people who believe that there should be a religious dimension to all aspects of our lives without the limitations of creeds or doctrines.
We are a Society, whose members share certain values about the worth of every individual human being, expressed as “seeking to recognise that of God in everyone”.
We are Friends, because we enjoy the companionship of, and enjoy the opportunity to work together with, those who share this approach to their lives.
We meet every Sunday at 10:30 for an hour of worship. We also hold Children’s Meeting every Sunday (except in August) for young people of all ages. The children meet in the Library at 10:30 for a planned activity supervised by two adults and join us in meeting at 11:15.
We always have tea and biscuits after the meeting and on the fourth Sunday of the month we also have Soup and a Roll to give us a chance to socialise together.
We hold a Meeting for Worship for Business monthly. We encourage everyone to take part in the running of our meeting. Please speak to one of the clerking team if you would like to attend.
The Quaker Café is open Monday to Friday 10.00 ~ 14:00 and 10:0 ~ 12:30 Saturday and servers tea, coffee, excellent home made scones and good food. Everyone is welcome.

Roles of People at Meeting
The Clerk (Meg) and her assistants (Adam and Diane) read the notices, take responsibility for conducting the Business Meeting, drafting minutes to reflect what we have decided and deal with other communications on behalf of the meeting.
Elders (Annie, Wendy, Roger, Jane, Edward) are responsible for nurturing the spiritual life of the meeting.
Overseers (Helen, Jane, Ann) are responsible for the pastoral care of the meeting.
Elders and overseers are appointed for a three year period.
Our warden, Edward Creasy, lives in a flat above the meeting house and manages all Lettings and many other aspects of the building which is managed by our Premises and Finance committee.
